Own a piece of paradise in the Colorado Rockies...

If you are interested in buying, selling or renting a home in Aspen, Colorado, let me know how I can make your real estate transaction a reality...

Welcome to picturesque Aspen, Colorado. Located 195 miles south west of Denver, Aspen is defined by its majestic mountains and a community enriched with natural beauty, artistic culture and a vibrant love of the outdoors, whose charm has been deliberately preserved by its caring community.

Originally a summer hunting camp of the Ute Indians, Aspen's first white settlers arrived in the 1870's when miners traveled from nearby Colorado towns in search of silver. Aspen's mining industry boomed quickly becoming home to more than 12,000 miners and families.

But as quickly as the wealth came, the repeal of the Sherman Silver Act of 1893 caused Aspen to 'bust' and the town entered a very quiet time where the population dropped to less than 1000 residents. In the late 1940's, skiing arrived in Aspen as did modern day founders Walter and Elizaeth Paepcke, who with their vision of mind, body and spirit, helped Aspen begin a new era that continues to this day.

Nestled amongst the Rocky Mountains, with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, Aspen is truly a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers, whether it's downhill skiing in untouched snow,or spending warm summer days enjoying the endless hiking and biking trails, dog-sledding, horseback riding, mine exploring, fly-fishing and water sports.

Aspen's local calendar is packed with a multitude of cultural pursuits including music and dance performances, outdoor theater, lectures and art exhibits, offered by some of the most celebrated names in the world, as well as remarkable, homegrown talent. The Aspen Music Festival has brought classical music to the concert halls and the streets of our mountain town every summer since 1949.

Aspen has an incredible array of dining choices, from ethnic and health food restaurants to funky spots, popular brewpubs, locals' hangouts and elegant dining for that special occasion. After dining, complete the night with dancing, billiards or wine tasting at the lively clubs and bars.
